Search Done Right

In the past decade, Vivisimo has grown to become a leader in search and information access. Vivisimo’s Velocity Platform, a product of years of development and innovation, is a quick-to-implement solution that finds, extracts and delivers relevant information to organizations—no matter what format it is in or where it resides.

This month, Vivisimo launched a new blog, Information Optimized, to share knowledge and collaborate with you, our customers, our partners and all others interested in bringing people, process and technology together to maximize the business value of information.

So, why the new title? Information Optimized?

An independent party recently completed an in-depth survey of our customer base. What we found was astonishing. We’ve always known that we’ve helped our customers with their information access which has led to significant value for them. However, what we didn’t realize was just how much value. It was fascinating and humbling.

A global manufacturer detailed for us how they saved over $34 million dollars by using our technology to connect people to the information they needed to solve business problems in real time. That’s huge savings in this economic landscape. A leading pharmaceutical firm shared with us that they used Velocity to better equip their sales representatives with accurate data and tracked this to a 4% increase in sales. We have example after example showing tangible benefits with metrics.

Our customers told us clearly that Vivisimo enables them to unlock and optimize the true business value of all their information. This visibility helped drive innovation, real-time decisions, and actionable insight. The survey was the launch pad for many more detailed conversations with our customers which has resulted in significant innovation to our product line, our service offerings and the way we approach business.

Based on what we’ve learned from our customers and the research that we’ve done, we’ve decided to pursue this Information Optimization (IO) theme and use it to fuel our entire solution line. After all, IO is a natural expansion of our enterprise search business. Especially given that our award winning enterprise search technology is at the core of the Information Optimization transformation.

Information Optimization is the process of discovering insights across multiple systems and then delivering quality information to enable better business decisions that solve operating challenges and create economic value.  The Velocity platform helps organizations achieve information optimization through information connectivity and contextual intelligence that then enable organizational capabilities.

We’ve made some significant changes over the past several months. We’ve invested in product management and solution innovation. We’ve built out our professional services and training teams to better assist our customers and we’re providing best practice guidance. Later this month we’ll be launching our new Information Optimization services.
